Stephen Michael "Steve" Martino (born 1959) is an American director, best known for directing the films Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: Continental Drift, The Peanuts Movie and Go!Animate the Movie.

Martino went to Ohio State University where he studied design.[1] After graduation, he heard computer animation pioneer Chuck Csuri speak. "I was absolutely blown away. No one was doing what he was showing us. I hadn't seen images like that anywhere before," Martino said. He returned to the university and earned in 1989 a master's degree,[2] studying at the Computer Graphics Research Group (later renamed to Advanced Computing Center for the Arts and Design), founded by Csuri.[1]

After graduation, Steve went to Los Angeles, where he worked in animation and visual effects.[1] In 2001, he joined Connecticut-based Blue Sky Studios, owned by 20th Century Fox.[2] There he co-directed computer-animated Horton Hears a Who! and Ice Age: Continental Drift.[1] He directed The Peanuts Movie (2015), an animated feature film adaptation of Charles M. Schulz's comic strip Peanuts.[3] and also is Go!Animate the Movie (2018), an first live-action/animated film adaptation of Alvin Hung's videos Go!Animate.

In December 2017 20th Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios brings you the first live-action and animated hybrid film based on the same name of 2007 videos called Go!Animate the Movie is a musical comedy adventure feature is directed by Martino with Gillian Carr since SheZow. produced by Lori Forte, John C. Donkin, John Cohen (since Despicable Me and Angry Birds films) and Michele Imperato Stabile since (Hop) comes with executive produced Chris Wedge as second live-action film since Monster Trucks, screenplay by Obie Scott Wade, Jordan Roberts, Mike Reiss, Chris Viscardi, Will McRobb and Alvin Hung are also are both starring with the cast of Griffin Gluck, Jason Sudeikis, Miranda Cosgrove, Ron Perlman, Kristen Schaal, Jacob Batalon, Jordan Peele, Emma Watson, Kevin Hart, Ving Rhames, Kristin Chenoweth, Ellie Kemper, Jon Hamm, Megan Follows, Nick Kroll, Alan Tudyk and Ray Ramano, John Leguizamo and Denis Leary the film will be released on June 1st 2018 with featuring new songs by Al Kasha (since Walt Disney's musical based film of Petes Dragon) and Christopher Elves with scoring by Theodore Shapiro since (Dreamworks Animations Captain Underpants) and Christopher Lennertz since (Sony's R-rated computer animated supernatural comedy film Sausage Party and Sony's PG-rated animated fantasy-comedy family film Smurfs: The Lost Village).
